About Chef Josh

Chef Josh's lifelong connection to local food, seasonality, farmers and fishermen leads him to create an equally unique & accessible food style that is an authentic ode to his native Maine. He worked in Europe, throughout the US and finally back to Maine where he was awarded Maine's Chef of the Year and was invited to cook at the prestigious James Beard House in NYC.


His recipes appear in many cookbooks, magazines and television shows. His passion now is in helping restaurants develop crave-worthy menus and unique concepts; taking food photos for national magazines and offering a select number of private dining events.

He looks forward to speaking with you about how working with the b frame can elevate the story around your

food experience, branding story and vision.

Hiring an experienced chef during the early stages helps ensure logistics like equipment & layout are correct and creative assets align with the community and

Food Collaborations

Food and community partnerships are enhanced when like-minded businesses come together. Chef Josh has paired with local and European vineyards for speciality wine dinners, Picture Maine and artist Charlie Hewitt to bring more art and film to the state, and with non-profits such as Full Plates Full Potential and Wolfe's Neck Farm for their annual donor dinners.

Why hire Chef Josh?

Chef Josh offers over 30-years of fine dining experience from joining legacy properties to building restaurants from scratch. His passion of cooking "elevated local" cuisine carries through your private events or professional dining room. He is committed to elevating your vision and works along with your team to make it a reality.

How do I book an event date?

Reach out through the contact form below with as much information as you can provide. Chef will contact you to further discuss your vision and needs to ensure it is a match. Once a date is agreed upon, there is a $500 non-refundable deposit. 50% of the event rate is due 7-days prior to your event and the balance within 3-days of completion. Chef takes checks, cash or Venmo.

What types of consulting do you offer?

Chef Josh builds custom consulting packages based on client needs. He offers seasonal menu refreshing; costing audits; BOH assets to kitchen design, equipment recommendations and full-scale culinary concepts.

How do I schedule a consulting meeting?

How much does it cost & what does it include?

Wether it be a private event or consulting contract, Chef Josh creates unique packages that only include what you need to elevate your event or succeed in the F&B market.
